MIRI CITY TOUR + LONGHOUSE
The driver will pick up from your hotel at 0900hrs and proceed to an Iban longhouse known as Entulang. It takes about 45 minutes to reach this place. The Ibans are the single largest tribe in Sarawak and they are traditionally live in longhouses which are actually a number of rooms linked together but sharing a common ‘ruai’ – a veranda where traditional ceremonies are performed in the olden days. The Ibans are the famous headhunters of Borneo and in some older longhouses, some of the skulls are still seen hanging along the ruai. You will have a chance to try the famous rice wine ‘tuak’ brewed locally. After 1-hour tour, participants can opt to transfer back to the hotel or continue with the Miri City tour. The expected time to reach back hotel is around 12.30pm.
